A Long Journey

Divorced by my husband so he could marry someone else I didn't care if If I lived or died. Six years later I walked off my job, left a brand new mobile home, kids, family and took off for the south where I met my 2nd husband. No one knew where I was. He was an alcohlic. I couldn't take any more of his mood swings so I left him. I lost my job because of him. Had one small pay check coming and no where to go and too proud to go back to my own State. Had enough money to pay one weeks's rent at a motel and get a very few nonperishable groceries. Then I could lay down and die.
I remembered a man who tried to get us to go to Church. I called them; they took me to their home and prayed with me. Went to the altar Sunday. In only six days God got me a home with an 80 year old woman who was afraid to stay alone. Didn't have a job for nine months but God took care of my immediate needs. Since then I have written, poems, sermons, songs but I can't sing or play guitar very well. Preached a few times. I wish I could say I walked the straight and narrow since I got saved but I can't. Because I wasn't grounded, I got into one cult after another just long enuff to learn a few of their basic doctrines.
But God kept getting me out. He knew where I would be today. Since I just got on the internet 2 months ago, I have made contact with different Christians groups wanting poems and testimonies. I send them to anyone who will take them. One lady, who has become a dear friend in just one week, has set me up on my own web page. She began a "Woman at the well Ministries which should be ready this week end. Because of my experiences with how God works in our lives, they have asked me to be their leader/director. It's dedicated to shut-ins, and any one who is looking for God's truth.We help each other.

I am living proof of it and I want to share with anyone who cares to listen. This is the work He has given me to do-to lead others to Christ. We have a great loving God. He alone can satisfy and give you peace.
