My testimony

Wow, my testimony. Well, I don't like to share it often, unless I feel led. I don't know how people in Ireland react to an outsider saying they feel called to come to their country, becuz it's spiritually dark. I hope I don't come off sounding condescending. I have a deep love & concern for the people here. God put that love there. It seems like the Lord has always put me in difficult situations & had me work with people that were in serious trouble.
My background: I come from a 2nd generation Pentecostal preaching family, but my dad turned out to be a blacksheep that didn't catch on to this. He went more in the direction of the New Age movement. In fact, he's tried every cockeyed movement out there except Jesus. Consequently, I followed in his footsteps. I've tried astrology, numerology, Christian Science, tarot cards, witchcraft, seance, & things just got darker & darker, until I finally made contact with the other side. Now, I don't know who's going to want to believe that I was possessed by a demon we had summoned thru a Ouija Board, but you can make your own decision to believe me or not. Complete with the spooky voice, fire conjuring & being thrown to the floor. Shortly after this, the demon got his due. I was thrown out of my house, I lost my child & found out I was pregnant with another one. The only choice I was left with was to be taken into a Christian Rehab program. There I had my first encounter w/Jesus, but I had a long ways to go. I was still full of myself. I was delivered from my desire for drugs & alcohol, but I was still involved with sin. I found myself without a place to live & I was talked into giving up my 2nd child, which thank God I was stopped from aborting. I came to my senses & got my 2nd child back. We settled into a tough life & barely got by, but I found myself growing in the Lord & this helped sustain me.
I got heavily involved in street ministry which was an excellent base for my faith to grow on. We were working in the toughest gang neighborhoods in L.A. I've been a youth leader for about 10 years. I've seen the worst in life & now feel unafraid of anything the enemy might throw our way! The Lord has always looked after us.
And now I am waiting for the day when the Lord calls me into service in this beautiful country. He's shown me he wants me to set up various ministries for the youth in Ireland.
