The Mission of the Holy Spirit

To teach us all things and remind us of all things the Lord Jesus has
said.

To the apostles.

Yes, because the Holy Spirit would be with us for ever.
- What is meant by "He shall teach you all things?"
The Holy Spirit leads God's children into all truths necessary for
salvation and holiness.
- What special blessing resulted from this promise?
The writing of the New Testament.
- What is the special name of this gift of the Holy Spirit?
Inspiration.
- What do we learn from the word "Whom?"
That the Holy Spirit is a real person.
- What special comfort that does this text give us?
It tells us that the person who receives the Holy Spirit is led to
know the things of God.
- What does this text teach us about the knowledge of God?
It consists of whatsoever the Lord Jesus said to us.
