BROWSE & BORROW is located in Newbridge, Co. Kildare, Republic of Ireland. It was founded in 1996 and aims to encourage believers of all ages in their faith and bring others in touch with the Christian faith.

All our activities and materials are as much as possible in agreement with biblical principles.

We have plenty to choose from:

• More than 1,300 books
• More than 600 cassette tapes
• More than 150 videos

Lots of our material is suitable for children.

• Books and cassette tapes may be borrowed for a four-week period at EUR 0.50 per item.
• Videos may be borrowed for a week or four weeks.
  • The week fee varies from EUR 1.50 - 3.00 depending on the duration of the video.
  • If any video is borrowed for four weeks the fee is EUR 3.50.

Free books

• If you are 18 or older and donate EUR 15 or more you may borrow books free for one year.
• If you are under 18 and donate EUR 5 or more you may borrow books free for one year.

Fees for late return

• EUR 0.50 per cassette tape or book and
• EUR 1.00 per video if returned within one month after the due date.
• If more than a month late the fee for late return will be doubled.

Mobile Library

Three towns are currently visited once a month.

• Dunlavin, Co. Wicklow: 1st Sunday evening of the month
• Monasterevin, Co. Kildare: 3rd Sunday evening of the month
• Shercock, Co. Cavan: Last Monday of the month

Mail Order

We are offering a mail order service so that you can make use of the library even from a distance. Ideal for families, churches, groups or individuals (Republic of Ireland only).

The lending term is one month - from the day of delivery- and the borrowing fees are EUR 0.50 for books and cassette tapes and EUR 3.50 for videos. Postage is at real cost. The total charge may be paid when returning the items. The items can be requested by phone, email or post. We should normally deliver within 5 working days provided the item is in stock. Christmas cards, diaries and calendars are available from October.

Our aim is to facilitate wholesome activities that support the family:

• Bible club for children
• Bible study for busy mothers - crèche available
• Hobby clubs

Other activities we may develop are:

• Homework club
• Music fun
• Talks for mums and dads

Dates and times for these activities will be made known on our notice board, through the local press or you can enquire during the opening hours of the library.

There will be a small fee to cover incurred costs necessary to run the various activities.
